BEFORE:

Notice the deer-in-headlights look in my husband’s eyes. I’ve seen it many times (it’s a classic), especially when we first bought this house. Also, check out the chair rail. Once we removed the wallpaper, the walls were in really bad shape, so we decided to keep the chair rail, and design around it. In the end, we installed vertical pieces of trim wood every few feet for a modern, panel-like look.

AFTER:

Revived & reupholstered rocking chair. Rehabbed dresser (that used to be mine as a kid). New shelves. Gallery wall. And color. Lots & lots of color.
